Based in the Russian River Valley, devoted consulting winemaker Daniel Moore has made wine for several noteworthy wineries such as Martinelli Winery and Lynmar Estate. He was the founding winemaker for both wineries and worked at the latter for over a decade in the mid-1990s. His 38 plus vintages included establishing his Zmoore Winery, a Gewurztraminer centric brand made entirely in puncheons. He also co founded a Rose only brand, SoloRosa in 2001, leading the “pink revolution”. A wine cellar conulting expert— his knowledge comes steeped in 40 vintages of hands-on winemaking. Eschewing “work order” and “sample bottle” consulting, he prefers boots in the winery to continue to channel his inner cellar rat.
